This place has very good indian food. Great fancy place downtown. Had tikka masala, which is an easy go to, but had the paneer (cheese), which was really yummy. Also tried the neelgiri. It was good, but needed some spice. I didn’t ask for any certain spice level so I think they only make it spicy if requested. It was very good though and not as rich as the masala. This easily fed my boyfriend and I along with all the white rie they give you. They have a full bar, so it is a nice place to get a drink too. They have some really good happy hour specials. I got a kinky mango I think-it was tart, but a good sweet drink. Will be going back for sure. Runs about $16 per entree—Rhea S.
Dancing Ganesha has become the best Indian Restaurant in Minneapolis. I have had Indian food primarily in England and this surpassed every experience I have had. While I have tried Om and Bombay bistro they do not compare to the traditional Indian dishes, cozy romantic atmosphere and the up beat services. Dirty Hendrix Martini surprised me but was the choice for the evening. I would highly suggest Dancing Ganesha to everyone as a regular stop not an occasional visit —-by janr2000
There weren’t many people here the night I visited and services was as expected. I can’t remember the name of what I ordered but it was delicious! Want to go back sometime soon.–nonni
I absolutely love this restaurant. Every time we have eaten there the food was amazing and the service was great. I love sitting in the big comfy booths. The portions are large, so we always end up taking home leftovers I recommend the Tikka Masala, it is the best!–mariempls
Split a meal with husband which included vegetable samosa, lamb kebab, naan, basmati rice and a cocktail. We expected that the samosa would have come out first but everything came at once. It seemed like a long wait. When the food arrived, I said to the wait person that I thought it had taken a long time. She replied, “that’s how it comes out of the kitchen”. No apology. I thought it was an odd response and certainly not very customer friendly.–ann j
We chose Dancing Ganesha for a birthday celebration with our family and friends, and we had a wonderful time! The food was excellent, the service was great and we felt welcome to stay even after we had finished our meal. We loved the appetizers (especially the Gobi Manchurian and the Chicken 65), and highly recommend the Shrimp Bagare and the Malai Kofta Nargisi. And the mango lassi was delicious. The restaurant is easily accessible, and there is plenty of free parking around. We highly recommend Dancing Ganesha for a special event or just to enjoy a relaxing lunch or dinner.–mikesch
